Follow The Sun is a fast, aft cockpit, cruising boat that is fully equipped for long distance voyaging and living aboard. She has cruised from Nova Scotia to the Caribbean and everywhere in between, safely and comfortably with a crew of 2. She averages 150 miles per day under sail (as much as 180) and won first overall in the George Town Exumas Cruising Regatta. Her 12225 pounds of lead ballast and .43 ballast to displacement ratio highlight her stiffness and sea kindliness. Designed by Alan Warwick of New Zealand, she is Swan-like, both in appearance, layout and speed. All electronics (Raytheon radar, ST7000+ autopilot, ST60 speed, depth, wind, close hauled wind, ICOM SSB and VHF, Garmin GPS, Link 2000R) were replaced in 2000. The hull was Algripped in 2000 and the engine, a Pathfinder MF55 (Volkswagen) 55 HP diesel, was replaced in 1999. She has a complete osmotic repair with warrenty done by Osprey in 1998. She is in beautiful condition throughout. Follow The Sun is still being actively cruised, so she can be seen somewhere on the east coast. The phone number below is our cell phone on board, but we may be out of range at times, so please be patient, leave a message, and we'll call you as soon as we can.
