This luxury passenger vessel is a highly maintained high speed catamaran commuter ferry with a top speed of 32 and a service speed of 30 knots. She is a USCG 46 CFR Sub Chapter “K” vessel with a capacity of 300 passengers and 5 crew. She has port and starboard loading doors and was constructed by Gladding-Hearn Shipbuilding with welded aluminum construction using longitudinal stiffeners supported by transverse frames and bulkheads. The aluminum hulls are connected by two main bridging beams and intermediate transverse sections. Each hull is divided into six watertight compartments. Her Gross Tonnage is 90 and Net is 61. Passenger accommodations are supported above the hull modules on anti-vibration mounts which were replaced in 2001. She is powered by 2 Deutz 620 V12 diesels developing 2000 bhp at 1800 rpm each. Reduction Gears are Reintjes WVS 842-P driving 2 fixed pitch props. Gensets are 2 John Deere producing 65KW each. A spare main diesel propulsion unit with zero hours is available.
