FLIP IT! Marine Style…We have all seen the TV show where people buy a run-down house, put some time and money into it, and have a dream home. If a trawler is your dream boat, we have a 1983 38' Marine Trading Double Cabin Trawler with single, 120-hp Ford Lehman diesel engine with low hours. Ok, the photo we show is just a possible after photo but the actual look is up to you. Hey, they do it on television, if you have this kind of talent, you know you can do it too.
This vessel is currently in the hands of her second owner, and very hard to describe accurately, but I'll give it my best attempt, as she's not for the faint-of-heart; however, the Owner has all the physical materials to put her back together - the only things needed are the time, and creative-ability to tackle the project. Two years ago she was hauled, bottom painted, cutlass bearings were replaced, her hydraulic steering was gone through at both the upper, and lower stations, and her engine was gone through (freshwater system was replaced, heat exchanger pump was replaced, and all the materials were purchased to go through her entire interior from stem to stern. Her owner fell ill, and was informed by his Doctor's that he couldn’t complete any of his existing projects, or he would become permanently incapacitated. Here this Marine Trader sits, almost completely unfinished, and full of bad fuel (it’s been sitting for two years); if someone wanted to start her up today, they'd have to come equipped with their own fuel tank to hear her run, and the ability to take a diamond-in-the-rough, and turn her into an exquisite gem. There are cushions, drapes, blinds, anchors, chains, leatherette, headliners, teak strips for the overheads, paint, varnish - she needs to be varnished, painted, and sanded in most of her areas. The master head port needs securing, and her shower needs to be trimmed out, and finished – the fuel onboard will also need to be strained. Her Owner has a garage full of fittings, and boat items for her; her asking price is commensurate with the amount of work, which needs to be done - her Owner says "bring me all offers". If you're a person with this kind of ability, please give us a call for more details, or an appointment to view this vessel. Engine SpecificationsPower: 120 HP
