After more than a decade in production, the Cheoy Lee 32 Trawler earned a reputation as a durable and economical cruiser with a large cockpit and basic (but certainly adequate considering her size) interior accommodations. Her solid fiberglass hull incorporates a deep forefoot and a full-length skeg for low-speed stability and prop protection. The cockpit, decks, and cabin top are teak-over-fiberglass, and the window frames, doors, and caprail are also teak. Wide sidedecks make passage around the Cheoy Lee 32's deckhouse especially easy. Inside, the salon is narrow but comfortably functional. Visibility from the lower helm is very good thanks to large deck house windows. (Note the curved corner windows up front.) As with most Asian-built boats, traditional teak paneling and cabinetry are found throughout the interior. Outside, a spacious cockpit area makes the Cheoy Lee 32 an excellent utility-type boat for fishing, diving, or coastal cruising. Additional features include port and starboard cockpit steps, good engine access, bow pulpit and swim platform, and a sliding deck door at the lower helm. A single Lehman 6-cylinder diesel provides economical 7-knot performance with a cruising range of nearly 1,000 miles. Engine SpecificationsFuel: diesel
