American Tugs are clearly the standard for luxury coastal cruisers. TOMCO Marine Group continues its commitment to build the highest quality product. After three years of research we chose this boat as our personal extended cruising vessel to cruise both the Pacific Northwest and the Great Loop. We have completed the loop and health reasons require that we now sell Footloose and return to land. We are currently cruising Footloose to the Chesapeake.
Our AT 41 is a pilothouse fast trawler built to a Lynn Senour design with a hard-chined semi displacement hull to handle rough water safely and in comfort. The keel and composite skeg protect the large Nibral 5-bladed propeller. This boat is a perfect blend of trawler efficiency and capability coupled with stylish design and comfort. AccommodationsThe well appointed salon boasts an ultraleather settee, a custom Scott Boyle table and amble room for a side chair. The galley has numerous custom features that any chef will appreciate. The stove, refrigerator/freezer, icemaker, and second freezer are all electric. The pilothouse command-center features a large ship-style helm with a Stidd chair, Ultraleather crew seating w/table, a desk, and amble storage for charts, books, and manuals. The full array of electronics is mounted in a center console with radios overhead. Diamond Sea Glaze doors on either side of the pilothouse provide ready access to both side decks. The two staterooms each with an upgraded mattress have their own private head and shower. Each main living area has its own reverse cycle air conditioning unit. There are also baseboard electric heaters for chilly weather. Thoughtful upgrades throughout the vessel make extended cruising comfortable and safe. The central vacuum system is another thoughtful convenience.
MechanicalThe single Cummins QSC 540 HP electronic diesel engine powers the vessel into the high teens or can cruise at a miserly 2.7 GPH at 7.5 kts. The bow and stern thrusters help maneuver the ship in close quarters. With its enormous engine room with dual entry, access for maintenance is excellent and daily checks are a snap. A Reverso system facilitates quick changing of the engine, gear, and genset oils. All filters including the dual RACORs are very easy to access and change. The engine Cummins Extended Major Component warranty is for six years (or 1800 hrs) to 2/13.
