FLEXIBILITY
The cockpit area can be configured in a variety of ways depending on your plans for the day on the water.
Entertaining? With the seats in their "normal" position and the carpeting snapped down in the aft cockpit, nautical ambiance and plenty of room can accommodate friends and family for a visit while docked, anchored or underway. Serving counters, a sink and the refrigerator are all conveniently located in the aft cockpit lounge. The "Sunbrella" canvas can be configured to provide as much or as little sun as desired. Of course, should the weather turn cool or wet, it will keep the entire cockpit area dry and cozy.
The aft cockpit seats double in width by sliding them from their clever storage compartments towards the center of the cockpit. There is comfort galore for lounging in the sun or a snooze. Bring the matching insert from its below deck storage and slide it between the doubled cockpit seats. The entire aft cockpit becomes a padded sundeck or at night, with the canvass up, a huge king-size bed.
The Knot Deductible has a unique custom seat installed to the port of the helm. It¿s been referred to as "the cat bird seat" because from its vantagepoint a passenger can see every aspect of the operation of the boat in comfort.
The Aria is a great flexible yacht. Configure it to meet the day¿s mission whether it is fishing, cruising, water skiing, swimming or simply entertaining while underway, drifting, at anchor or at dockside. Even at night, its well appointed lighting system makes for enjoyable sunset cruises, watching fireworks displays, and returning at night from a day trip to an interesting port for shopping and dinner.
STOWAGE
Abundant stowage rivals any boat in its class. Storage compartments are under the dinette seats in the salon. Cabinets are above the sink and cook top, under the sink and cook top, and under the microwave. A drawer and closet are located on each side of the entrance to the head. Inside the head the starboard bulkhead and a cabinet under the sink will accommodate toiletries. In the spacious cockpit area, life jackets or beach towels can be stored under the helm seats. Beverages and snacks can be stowed under the sink and under the serving areas. Beneath the mid-cockpit seats there is handy storage for cleaning supplies.
Spectacular is the most often used word to describe the huge storage hold below the cockpit forward of the engine room. Open the large hatch and go down three stair steps into this spacious dry storage area. (Some versions of this hull used this space for a second stateroom with two berths.) It will swallow up all sorts of nautical toys such as fishing gear, water skis, inflatable devices, etc. The engine room has room to spare and is large enough for tools, spare parts, etc. Finally, the stern bulkhead has molded pockets for four dock fenders keeping them secure and out of the way when under way.
The Knot Deductible is a soundly designed and well-maintained yacht. It has never been exposed to salt water. Its canvass, Plexiglas side curtains and carpeting have been upgraded with today's advanced materials. Its handling is straightforward and simple. Aria 3020's in mint condition are difficult to find. This one represents rare and excellent value.
