Ron Radon, Sr. built this 30 x 10 Custom Commercial Fisherman in Santa Barbara, California from the original thirty-foot mold. Radons such as these were designed to provide performance and safety in the roughest weather across the channel. Even today, the heavier built Radons are desirable for their seaworthiness and ability to surf downhill. Such a hardcore design is excellent for both sport and commercial applications along the West Coast.

SPIRIT I carries a USCG Certificate of Documentation with fishery operational endorsement. The boat is suitable for a variety of commercial and sports applications, including diving, fishing, and surfing. She also is quite capable as a six-pak charter boat.
