Accommodations: Overnight accommodations are provided for two passengers in one V-berth or two side-by-side berths. Interior layout includes forward cuddy cabin followed by enclosed pilothouse. The cuddy cabin is equipped with fabric covered berth cushions, under-berth storage compartments, two windows, and open access to pilothouse. Adjoining the cuddy cabin and pilothouse are one step up to pilothouse, starboard side bulkhead, and portside nav table. The pilothouse is equipped with full instrumentation helm, captain's bench seat, passengers' bench seat, fabric covered cushions, teak footrests, teak grab bar, eight windows (side windows are sliders), three under-cabin-sole dry storage compartments, and lockable companionway door. Headroom in the pilothouse is 6' 4". Other interior features include fiberglass sole and12-volt light fixtures.

Electronic and Navigational Gear: The helm is equipped with two key-start ignitions, sport steering wheel, two MerCruiser forward/reverse throttle sets, trim tab control, dash mounted gauges, and dash/overhead mounted electronics. Electronic and navigational gear includes Furuno 1710 16-mile radar with closed array dome, Garmin 180 GPS/plotter, Furuno FCV-665 color video sounder/fishfinder, Standard Horizon VHF marine radio, Ritchie 4" compass, and USCG standard running lights.

Electrical/Gas/Plumbing: The boat is equipped with both 12-volt and 110-volt electrical system. Electrical features include six marine batteries, battery boxes, two 85-amp alternators, safety protected circuits with breakers, 1,000-watt power inverter, accessory panel, DC master control panel, battery isolator switch, and battery tester.

Water system includes two both automatic and manual bilge pumps.

Hull and Deck Gear: The hull design is modified vee, suitable for West Coast sea conditions, and enables the boat to stay on a plane and maintain a high speed in both forward sea and following sea conditions. This is the notable design of choice among commercial fisherman from Southern California to the Pacific Northwest. The hull is built of hand-laid fiberglass, and the decks are fiberglass with non-skid gelcoat deck surfacing. Other hull features include four bulkheads (three are watertight). Deck areas include deck at bow with ample room for commercial-type anchor gear, narrow side deck walkaround, large working cockpit, and aft raised deck over the engine compartment. Hull and deck gear includes stainless steel bow eye, rubber rub rail, four stainless steel deck cleats, four stainless steel cabin top grab rails, two halogen deck lights, stainless steel lifting eyes (for hoisting the boat), washdown decks, raised gunwales, and two scuppers. Anchor gear includes 16-lb. Bruce anchor, 100' of chain, 200' of rope, stainless steel bow roller, hydraulic winch, commercial chain spooler, and two aluminum bow deck protector plates. Safety gear includes three PFD's, 24" life ring, two fire extinguishers, and docking line. Fishing and sports gear includes two large in-deck fish holds, two heavy duty aluminum fish hold hatch covers with non-skid plating, SCUBA tank rack (holds four tanks), NITROX dive compressor for filling SCUBA tanks, aluminum mast and boom rigged with 12-volt winch (800-lb. capacity), and stainless steel diver's grab bar at transom.

Equipment/Engine Details: The boat package includes 2001 MCT three-axle galvanized trailer. Trailer features include hand-crank boat pulley, four carpeted bunks, and two carpeted boat guides. The trailer weighs 1,930 lbs. Combined towing weight of boat and trailer is approximately 11,930 lbs.

Engine Details: The power package includes twin 250 HP MerCruiser D-Tronic 4.2 liter 6-cylinder diesel I/O's. This engine has 2,860 hours. The boat cruises at 22 knots and reaches maximum speed of 35 knots. Other engine features include two 150-gallon fiberglass fuel tanks, Mercruiser X-Drive outdrives, three-blade stainless steel 20" x 19" propellers, 1.2:1 reduction gears, two Racor fuel filters, freshwater cooling system, wet stack exhaust, factory panel alarms, and Boat Leveler stainless steel hydraulic trim tabs.

The sealed engine compartment is a major safety feature of Radon boats. The engine compartment has eight stainless steel vents (forward and aft), stainless steel hinges, stainless steel handle, pole for propping open hatch, starboard shelf for batteries, aluminum engine bed, 12-volt light fixture, and fiberglass hatch that serves as aft deck platform.

Remarks: The boat has been well maintained and thoughtfully equipped. A 27 Radon such as this is a very desirable boat with its commercial integrity, trailerability, and all-around fishing performance. Motivated owner moved up to a bigger boat for his successful urchin operation.
