P Squared Boats (Santa Ana, CA) built the Fisherman 25's that were designed by Cree Partridge (current owner of Berkley Marine Center). Twenty to thirty were built to Coast Guard specifications for the Department of Beaches, where they were put to use as Harbor work/service boats.

This Fisherman 25 offers wide open deck space around enclosed pilothouse. If you are a fisherman, you will love the setup, complete with pedestal sport fishing chairs, outriggers, and more!

Accommodations: No overnight accommodations are provided. The enclosed pilothouse features include four large windows, full instrumentation helm, vinyl covered captains's and first mate's seats, two starboard side stowage cubbies, port side stowage cubby, port side lateral rod rack (holds three rods), accessory panel, teak sole, 12-volt lighting, and locking companionway door.

Galley Equipment: None.

Electronic and Navigational Gear: The helm station is equipped with sport steering wheel, key start ignition, forward/reverse throttle, flush mounted dash gauges, and overhead mounted electronics. Electronic and navigational gear includes Garmin GPSMap 162 GPS/plotter, ICOM IC-M127 VHF marine radio, Jensen Marine AM/FM/CD stereo, two speakers, Pathfinder SL70 Series radar with closed array, Furuno FCV-600L color LCD sounder/fishfinder, Ritchie compass, autopilot, and radio direction finder.

Electrical/Gas/Plumbing: The vessel is equipped with both 12-volt DC and 110-volt AC electrical system. Four batteries power the 12-volt electrical system. Other electrical features include charging system, battery isolator switch, and inverter.

Water systems include 35-gallon freshwater tank, bait pump, and three bilge pumps both automatic and manual.

Hull and Deck Gear: The hull is built of fiberglass, and the decks are fiberglass with non-skid surfacing. Deck layout includes deck at bow, recessed walkaround side decks, and large aft fishing deck. Hull and deck gear includes rubber rub rail, two stainless steel side deck grab bars, two cabin top stainless steel grab bars, integral foredeck seat, one stainless steel aft deck grab bar, raised gunwales capped with non-skid surfacing, four gunwale cleats, four gunwale hawse holes (for deck line), two in-deck inspection ports, two aft deck halogen lights, two scuppers, and wash down decks. Anchor gear includes anchor, bow roller, chain locker, and windlass. Safety gear includes PFD's and two fire extinguishers. Fishing and sports gear include swim step, two bait bags, two in-deck fish holds, fish fillet board, two pedestal sport fishing chairs with rod holders, three flush mount rod holders, four rocket launchers, and two outriggers. The hull was painted in June of 2007.

Equipment/Engine Details: Trailer package includes a 1984 three-axle painted steel trailer. Trailer features include hand-crank bow winch, safety chain, trailer stand with hand-crank winch, four carpeted bunks, two carpeted boat guide rails, and lights. The trailer weighs approximately 1,300 lbs. Combined towing weight of boat and trailer is approximately 6,800 lbs.

Engine Details: The power package includes a 185 HP Perkins turbo-charged 6-cylinder diesel inboard with 604 hours. The boat cruises at 15-16 knots and reaches maximum speed of 25 knots. Other engine features include two fuel tanks with total fuel capacity of 190-gallons, hydraulic steering, dripless packing, Bennett trim tabs, bronze prop, Groco ARG series raw water strainer, and bronze freshwater inter-cooler.

Remarks: This 25 Fisherman has a rich history.... as a dependable Harbor work/service boat for Department of Beaches, as a runabout cruiser for International Motorsports Hall of Famer, Parnelli Jones, and later as a sport fisherman.
