1985 Jouet 950
The boat went major refit in 2010. Over $25,000 invested. All work has been done by professional boatyard. New epoxy bottom, standing rigging, running rigging, lifelines, new propane stove with oven and more see the detail specs for details. The French know how to build a great sailing boat. This boat is a brilliant design by Yves Marechal. Jouet 950 is a popular European boat that is very well built and has a great reputation for its sailing capabilities. Owners have only positive comments about her. She is a fantastic sailing boat, fast, very well balanced, easily handled, and very well mannered when maneuvering under power. She offers 2 private staterooms with large double beds and two additional sleeping areas in the main cabin on the main salon sofa. The boat has plenty of storage, a huge and comfortable cockpit and full size navigation table. Many larger boats cannot match those features. The Jouet 32 is agreat sailing vessel. Note from the owner: "We had many sailing trips on this boat most notably few trips to the Bahamas. In one trip I went with 6 adults comfortably from Cape Canaveral in Florida to George Town in 3 weeks. She is capable offshore cruiser. In 2004 I sailed offshore from Cape Canaveral in FL to Beaufort NC in 11 days stopping in St Augustine FL and Charleston SC. Our family of four has loved this boat and has especially enjoyed the roomy and comfortable cockpit and the privacy that the separate quarter cabins provide. The layout provides comfort and privacy only found on larger boats while the overall size of the boat makes it more fun to sail, easier to handle and less expensive to operate. We have been cruising North Carolina this summer. Our success with this boat is a large part of why we are now looking for a larger sailboat to move aboard and cruise full-time." The owners will consider a trade to a larger vessel. Engine SpecificationsModel: VP-2002
