Location: Sandusky, OH Boat Type: Sail Boat Year: 1986 Make: Pearson Model: 28-2 Price: $28,500
Length: 28' Beam: 9' Draft: 4' Weight: 7,000 Pounds Hull: Fiberglass
This Bill Shaw designed vessel is spacious and extremely accommodating. There are two real double berths—one forward and another in an enclosed stateroom aft to port. The enclosed head with vanity, shower and forward-facing toilet is located well aft on the starboard side, using the widest part of the boat to its best advantage. The L-shaped galley is located on the port amidships and consists of a stove, sink, and stowage. The large refrigerated ice box is covered by an equally large chart table/counter to starboard. The 28-2’s sailing qualities are superb. Of particular note is her ability to stand up to a breeze due mainly to form stability produced by her wide beam at the waterline. The Pearson 28-2 is everything you would expect from Pearson, namely quality, excellent sailing characteristics, sea-kindly motion, spaciousness, and privacy.
Raconteur is a performance cruiser that has only sailed in fresh water. She has been impeccably maintained, carefully outfitted, and tastefully appointed. One would be hard pressed to find another Pearson 28-2 in such good condition and so well equipped. Good Old Boat magazine featured her with a five-page spread in their Sept/Oct 2005 issue. The current owners anticipate a lifestyle change and reluctantly offer her for sale. Engine SpecificationsModel: 2GM20F Power: 18 HP
