The 290 Luhrs has the power and the seaworthiness to run with the big dogs. Her spacious cockpit can handle serious fishing activity. She is built on a modified-V hull with a double chine and 17 degrees of deadrise at the transom. The 290 has a bi-level cockpit with 60 square feet of area on the lower level. Three lift out fish boxes provide good access to the mechanicals and the bilges. Below deck she is simple but nicely finished. The dinette converts to a comfortable double and the cabin has just over 6 feet of headroom. There is a compact galley and spacious enclosed head. These boats were sold with a standard marlin tower.
