Hull:
Fiberglass Reinforced
This 42 Post has been beautifully restored. The bottom was totally peeled, reglassed, barrier coated and bottom painted 4 yrs ago. At the same time the hull was stripped and re-painted w/ Awlgrip and all of the exterior teak was refinished and all of the deck hardware was redone. A new fiberglass hardtop and aluminum tower was added to the flying bridge10 yrs ago, but looks like NEW. New isenglass has also been added. The interior of the cabin features the original Mahogany cabinetry, new carpet and furnishings and updated entertainment systems. A teak and holly sole has been added to the galley floor and the galley has also been updated. Simply a beautiful vessel, this 42 Post is a "must see."This vessel is located off-site, so please call to arrange a viewing appointment.

Accomodations:
The salon sofa converts into a sleeper, suitable for 2 adults. The master stateroom has a custom made Queen sized mattress. The forward V-berth has bunks for 2 more adults. The enclosed head features a separate stand-up shower with a shower door, not a curtain. The sink, vanity and storage spaces remind you more of a home sized bathroom than of an onboard head, it is very large. The tiolet has a Lectra-San treatment system, but there is a 35 gallon holding tank located beneath the master berth that can be plumbed into the system if necessary.

Galley:
The galley has been updated with a Beautiful teak & holly floor. A new Princess 3 burner stove and oven, with a broiler, graces the galley and will make any cook smile. Also, there is a range exhaust hood for excellent ventilation, this is something not normally found on a boat. The Admiral refrigerator/freezer is spacious enough for spending weeks aboard without the worry of re-stocking the food supplies. There is an ice maker in the cockpit for suppling your crew with fresh ice for their drinks. Rounding out the galley appliances are a Sharp microwave oven, Black & Decker toaster oven, Mr. Coffee coffee maker and ample counter and storage space for your galley utencils.

Electrical System:

Shore power is supplied by two 30 amp shore power cords. An 8kw Westerbeake Diesel Generator (1327 hrs, fresh water cooled) provides 110v power while away from the dock. A 50 amp Pro Mariner fully automatic battery charger is wired into the electrical system. A complete 110v breaker and distribution system controls all 110v systems and a 12v breaker and switch panel controls all 12v equipment (electronics, pumps, lights, windlass, etc).

Deck and Hull Equipment:
HULL- The bottom of "Baby Duck" was completely peeled several years ago, re-glassed, barrier coated, and then bottom painted. The entire hull was stripped, all hardware removed & refinished, all teak refinished and the boat was re-painted w/ Awlgrip. The Tower/hardtop over the fly bridge is a recent addition and has a full 4 sided canvas enclosure. COCKPIT- The cockpit features a removable bimini top, the cockpit icemaker is 5 yrs old and there is a bait prep center/wet bar, across the stern of the cockpit is a teak covered fishbox and livewell, Lee Sr. Wishbone outriggers w/ double spreader outriggers are onboard but have never been used. The cockpit floor has a receptacle suitable for a fighting chair or even a table, Raw water washdown, fresh water washdown and even a dock side water connection and the fresh water tank fill are all located in the cockpit. Both shore power connections as well as the Phone/CATV connections are here as well. Access to the bow is easy and safe on either side of the house, by way of the side decks and handrails. The bowrail and bowpulpit make working the forward lines safe and easy, and the electric windlass make anchoring a snap.

Additional Equipment:
The Classic, Powerful lines and the 15' 9" beam of the 42 Post are un-mistakable. Most of these boats have been fished hard, a task that they were built for. This particular 42 Post has been Bay fished with the Grand-kids, but has never been ocean fished. A fact that is clearly evident when looking at the fine deatils of "Baby Duck". This vessel would make a great liveaboard, coastal cruiser or weekend condo capable of running to the canyons. This vessel is simply Beautiful and a MUST SEE.
