The factory designed her on the lines and an expanded layout of the North Sea 36 Trawlers. These yachts have achieved almost cult status and "Loafer" at 48 feet is a complete success as the queen of the North Sea fleet. She stands out with both style, and true seagoing capability. AccommodationsWelcome aboard. "Loafer" was built, with no expense spared, for comfortable living and cruising. As you step aboard her warmth and style will embrace you. This is your yacht.
Starting at her bow you will have a sense of strength and security. Her fiberglass fordeck features high bulwarks and a solid rail with teak brightwork. Topping that is a wrap around SS railing and bow pulpit Nonskid application is excellent, as is drainage. She has a very high bow as form follows function for seakeeping ride and safety on your passages to any port on the globe. Next aft you will find the pilothouse with entry both port and starboard. The pilothouse has exceptional visibilty all around and features complete engine instrumentation and electronics as well as a great chart table. The newly upholstered dinette is a convertable that makes this area double as a romantic and peaceful getaway above the waves. Going topside is the flybridge followed by the sundeck. The flying bridge has seating for eight with like new cushions, a bimimi top, fresh paint and non skid. There is a steadying mast and boom as well as an electric hoist for the tender. The tender is neatly chocked and as with the rest of the topside gear is protected by canvas covers. The top deck on Loafer is party city and has held a five piece band and celebrations galore. Retreating below decks and forward is the comodious owners cabin. It features a king size bed, an ensuite head with shower, toilet, vanity and sink. The lockers and drawers are abundant and smell of fresh cedar lining. Curl up with a good book or watch TV while "Loafer" safely cruises to your next port of call. The guest stateroom is aftr to port. It features a double bed. It is light and airy and beautifully paneled. There is good stowage here as well. This stateroom is serviced by the day head just a few steps away. The head features a toilet, shower, sink and vanity. All sanitation systems in both heads on the yacht were upgraded in 2008 with new plumbing and fittings. The interior of Loafer stays as fresh as a daisy. Up from the sleeping areas is the galley to port and the day head to starboard. Next is the wonderful salon. WOW ! The salon on loafer is entered from the cockpit area the entry is wide open and with windows everywhere, the world is your oyster. There is a 270 degree view of the scenery around the yacht from the salon. Designer Blinds allow for privacy as desired. The entire starboard side of the salon is fitted with beautiful cabinetry for stowage to your hearts desire. The bulkhead forward to starboard has a flat screen TV and shelving for books DVDs etc below it. The port side of the salon and forward is a breakfast bar overlooking the galley. There are two comfortable chairs at the counter. With the chef on board this area always gathers a crowd. The salon features a large sofa and easy chair with ottoman. Last aft is the cockpit. It has a nicely finished teak sole and a transom door that makes boarding a snap. The are is huge and has two directors chairs, a table for four and a refrigerator. The cockpit has a complete camper enclosure with like new eisenglass. There are zippered windows in the eisenglass for ventilation as desired. It is a very comfortable area and is great for entertaining. GalleyThe galley is a pleasure to work in. It features terrific counter space and stowage, full size appliances, double SS sinks, filtered water; hot and cold, single lever mixer and pressure on demand, 4 burner gas stove, a microwave oven, toaster oven, coffee maker, breakfast counter, all pots and pans, dishes, and cutlery. There is an additional refrigerator on the aft deck as well as a large gas BarBQ. Great feasts are a not rare on this special yacht.
ElectricalAll New! The owners just completed a complete and professional rewiring. The also replaced all batteries and circuit panels. Only the generator has more than a few hours since new. The systems are broken down into very simple modules and are redundant in many ways. You will not want for power in any situation on this vessel.
