With one engine "Maveva" cruises 7.5 knots on 7.5 gph with both engines she cruises 9.5 knots on 15 gphThis vessel has a belt drive system that delivers power from the engines to the drive shaft. Reverse requires hydraulic reversing the pitch of the propeller.

Deck and Hull Equipment:
The hull is carvel double planked over 6"x8" laminated oak frames with a reported 5" of Norwegian pitch pine. A single 2 1/2 layer of this material would be considered a standard scantling for this vessel. The outer planking was examined for defects and hammer tested. No substantial defects were found. There have been some planks replaced, these repairs have been done in an expert manner.
